With the constant and rapid evolution of CAT tools, it can be difficult to know where to begin when thinking about introducing a CAT tool module into your curriculum. In this white paper, we will investigate how CAT tools are currently taught in universities around the world. Through a series of case studies with current CAT tool lecturers, we will present our recommendations as to what the core contents of a university CAT tool module should include with a sample framework. We will look at which tools are currently taught, as it is useful to critically evaluate more than one type of CAT tool, and will offer some tips for teaching CAT tools using the market-leading software, SDL Trados Studio.
